TORREMOLINOS TRAINS

torremolinos train stationJust off Calle San Miguel on Paseo de la Nogalera is the train station (95 236 02 02).  Trains run every 20 minutes east to Málaga (approx. 25 mns), stopping en route at the Airport, Plaza Mayor shopping Mall, Malaga Maria Zambrano (Malaga central station with conections to speed trains to Madrid and Seville) and the very last train stop called Malaga centro. Other direction with destination Fuengirola (approx. 25 mns) and stops at Benalmadena and Torreblanca.

If you are planning to travel to Madrid or Seville, then you can buy longdistance train tickets online through Renfe.es site or at Malaga Maria Zambrano train station. In Torremolinos itself long distance train tickets can be bought at Pinsapo travel agency in plaza Nogalera – right in front of Torremolinos train station ( between bar Amsterdam and bar Vanilla). Return ticket to Madrid would cost 80 – 200 euros depending on the period. There are speed trains every hour and it takes 2.5 hours to reach Madrid Atocha station (very central to all sightseeing).

TORREMOLINOS BUSES

The main bus station (95 238 24 19) is to the east of the centre on Calle Hoya and there are regular buses to most of the main coastal towns, including Benalmádena, Fuengirola and Marbella.

You can also save on the tour and catch a return to Ronda and Granada with a choice of several daily departure times. Buses to Seville and Cordoba leave from Málaga bus station, Paseo de los Tilos (95 235 00 61).

taxi torremolinosTaxis are plenty and they are normally inexpensive. Always ask for the price before boarding. Taxis are obliged to charge you according to the official price list. If unsure ask the driver to show you the price list. The only allowed surcharges are for the night time ride, and a 1euro surcharge for a taxi ordered on phone.
